Surestaff Celebrates the 2023 Meeting of the Minds!

Surestaff 2023 sales meeting - Meeting of the Minds

This week Surestaff celebrated our annual 2023 Meeting of the Minds sales meeting as we gathered with our professional sales team from around the country.Surestaff Meeting of the Minds 2023

It was an exciting couple of days has we had all our sales team, members of our Partner Companies – Millennium and Cardinal, our senior management and operations team, and teams from our Workforce Solutions Group, and Direct Hire business units on hand.

Folks flew or drove from all over the country – Dallas/Ft Worth, Austin, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Memphis, Chicago, Tallahassee, Toledo, and the Detroit areas.

We were excited to have our Private Equity partners – Brad Esson and David Paschal from Owner Resource Group (ORG) join us as well.

This year has been marked by significant success in many of our business units. Despite a slowed economy, inflation, and rising interest rates, we’ve experienced record organic and year-over-year growth in many of our initiatives. Along with an acquisition of a record number of new clients, we have signed numerous large agreements that will help propel the company to further growth in 2024. We have expanded our use of technology in recruiting, sales/CRM, payroll, human resources, and telephony, and have greatly expanded our benefit and human resources offerings.

All of this being done, and a result of, our excellent sales, operations, and corporate support teams.

Surestaff founders Dave Mehr, Ray Morelli, and Doug Howard celebrate Surestaff's 25th Anniversary with ORG Managing Directors Brad Esson and David Paschal, and CEO Tim Faber

On Tuesday we were joined by our corporate and regional operations staff as we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of Surestaff.

The Company was founded by Ray Morelli, Dave Mehr, and Doug Howard in 1998 with their first office in Arlington Heights, Il.

Since then, the Company has grown to a forecasted 2024 revenue of $352 million with offices through-out the Mid-West and Southwest…. to include Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, and Maryland.

We had great presentations from our business unit managers and corporate teams.

Topics covered items such as sales and research tools, staffing trends, digital recruiting, technology, direct hire tactics and management, workforce and onsite staffing solutions, Surestaff Learn (our proprietary learning management system), risk management, human resources, and a review and update on our Lead Share program.

ORG also provided us with a summary of best practices, techniques, and value creation strategies from portfolio companies and from an investors point of view.

Monday night we enjoyed great food and fun as we kicked-off the Surestaff 2023 Golf Tournament at XGolf in Schaumburg, IL. – a lot of fun and congratulations to our winners!

We also had a couple of annual award recipients.

SVP Sandy Picciola was the 2023 President’s Award recipient. Sandy has built out our very successful Workforce Solutions Group – operations, sales, proposals, QBRs, staffing, metrics and KPIs, and is a key and valued member of our senior management team.

SVP Monica Guillory was the recipient of our 2023 Leadership Award. Monica has transformed out human resources group and has successfully tackled projects from benefits development, policies and procedures, to a corporate focus on culture and diversity. Her display of leadership and initiative has been extraordinary.

The meeting was capped-off by celebrating the retirement of Doug Howard, our COO.Surestaff's COO Doug Howard retires

Doug is a founding member of the Company and has been instrumental in building the backbone of Surestaff – our extraordinary operations team. He has also built a world-class risk management program and team – simply one of the best in the staffing industry.

We’re excited for Doug as he moves on to new ventures in his and his family’s life, but he will be sorely missed. He has build a lasting legacy and is a key factor in Surestaff’s success.

A special thank you to Sydnie McGuire, Heather Hollinger, Briana Payne, Sara Ramirez, Craig Brunton, and all the others that helped put on a fantastic, fun, and informative event! It was a lot of work – great job!
